Original, Rustic and Sage Series
Our metal garden beds are designed for simple assembly. This assembly guide provides installation instructions for putting your Metal Garden Bed together. Follow the steps below to assemble your bed and get ready to fill, plant and grow.
One System. Many Possibilities.
The same basic installation method is used across our Original, Rustic and Sage Series. Your bed will most probably have a different shape or number of sections than the one shown below, but the basic installing method remains the same. Your specific bed model layout will arrive with your order shipment for your review.
The line drawing is for illustration purposes only. Be sure that all sections are firmly connected. Its purpose is to show how the modular sections connect together to create different bed lengths and configurations.
When positioning the sidewall panels, make sure they are facing outward and fit securely inside the corner brackets as shown. 2 corners form the V-shaped brackets for mid-span sections. The folded safety edge of each sidewall panel should always be at the top.
When installing the rung spans, each bolt should pass first through the beam hole, then through both holes in the corner brackets, and finally through the second beam hole before being secured with a nut and tightened. Make sure each section is firmly connected before moving on to the next.
For shaped beds that require a turn, connect three corner brackets together as shown in the photo. Once the rungs are attached, the system is in the correct position to form the turn.
Once the beds are assembled, be sure to fill them to the top!
Additional Note: We recommend hand-tightening all sections first. Once the bed is fully assembled, go back around with a 9/16" socket to securely tighten each connection. Place the socket over the bolt head with one hand while holding the nut in place with your thumb on the other side as you tighten.
