A Courtyard Garden Built Around a Central Gathering Space
This 35' × 25' Garden Plan turns the raised beds into the framework of the entire garden. Four large L-shaped beds define the corners of the space, creating a strong perimeter while leaving the center open.
At the heart of the garden is a dedicated gathering area. Rather than using every available foot for planting, the layout reserves this central space for seating, a table, containers or another garden focal point. The surrounding beds make the gathering area feel like it belongs inside the garden rather than simply sitting beside it.
Two long interior beds add growing capacity without interrupting the open center. Wide walkways connect the different sections and provide access to both the perimeter beds and the interior rows.
Openings at the top and bottom establish a natural path directly through the garden. From either entrance, the layout draws you toward the center and then allows movement around the growing areas on both sides.
